The Easy Cure surfaces

The Cure had an early revolving door of band members when they were loosely formed out of middle and high school in West Sussex, England, as the Easy Cure. Robert Smith emerged as the frontman and singer by the time the band released their debut album “Three Imaginary Boys” in 1979. The band released several singles around that time as well, including the critically acclaimed debut single “Killing An Arab.” The Cure’s early musical effort pushed the band to the forefront of the post-punk/new wave movement that was born out of the punk scene in the United Kingdom.
