On the heels of their single “Roxanne”, The Police slide into Boston pretty much unnoticed — except for the loyal following of Boston’s college radio stations, which knew what was coming. This video was shot with a single b/w Portapak camera and the “Truth Hits Everybody” was pieced together by Jan Crocker in an edit over the 2016 holiday season. The footage laid resting in a can for 38 years. Boston’s Unnatural Axe opened for The Police that night, and Sting could be seen choking on his tea as the Axe revved up the shirtless masses.
